On Monday the group headed up to the Gateway shopping mall. Everyone brought at least one thing. They shopped for about 3 hours before they went and watched some surfers at the Wave House.
After the mall, the group went to the Crocodile Creek crocodile farm. Some members of the group held a baby crocodile and then more of the members chose to hold a 3m long python.
After that the group came back to the villa and relaxed down for some dinner.
On Sunday, the group headed up to Trudi’s close friend Alix’s house. They spent the day there lounging around her pool, cooked on her BBQ and all had a go on her iMac. Some of the group took her dogs for a walk whilst the others stayed home and listened to music on her docking station.
When they got back from Alix’s some of the group went on the beach to climb the rocks whilst the others stayed in and chilled out.
Today the groups Jabula partners came down to the villa to spend the day with them. They spent most of the day on the beach; riding waves, swimming, hanging out and just speaking about the week in general. Then it came to the time no one wanted to experience, the final goodbyes. The emotions were clear. They had all bonded tremendously well over the week and didn’t want to say a final goodbye. After the Jabula kids had said goodbye and left the villa, the mood in the house wasn’t what it was before. It was evident that no one would be out of bed long tonight.
The group were treated to a breakfast at a café called ‘Piggly Wigglys’ where they had the choice of a cooked breakfast, toasties, and toast. After that the group headed up for their final visit to Jabula school and were a VIP audience to the goodbye assembly the Jabula kids organised. The assembly had an mixture of dances, speeches, praying and singing of the South African national anthem. After the assembly the group mingled around the Jabula kids and took pictures.
After the emotional goodbyes, the group headed up to the Tala Game Reserve on safari, that lasted for about 2 hours and then they headed up to their new home in Sheffield beach.
On thursday the group headed up to Jabula school for their second to last day at the complex. The IT group finished off installing software on the computers and started to install webcams - which the Jabula pupils loved! The sports group did football, athletics and finished with a massive game of cricket. The enterprise group finished their enterprize challenge and then sorted the awards for the following assembly on the friday.
After school, the group headed up to Howick to change money, gift shopping for relatives and then they all grabbed a bite to eat.

Backflip by Chris Mandla, just one example of the amazing people of South Africa!
We woke up nice and early and most definitely excited about our Zip line activity we were doing at Karkloof Canapy, but first we had to go to Jabula school to set up our activities we planed for them.
Curtis, Nathan, Hanna and Hariot were in charge of the sport activities which took place on the field.
Sadly Beverley was not feeling too well today so the business side of the activities was put on hold for this day. As Beverley was not here today to supervise, Owen, Chris and Uzair had to join the IT or the Sport groups to help them out instead of sitting around.
At roughly 12 pm we said our farewells to our partners and headed off to Karkloof Canapy. The scenery along the way was breath taking, however as we arrived and set up our safety gear, the Zip line was by far the best fun ive had through out this South Africa trip.
Today started off with a visit to the hospital for Chris, who accidentally hurt his foot playing football without shoes on. So, after arriving at Jabula at around 9:00 am we began our activities for the day. These activites included: I T maintenence, volley ball, rounders, football and a business challenge for the pupils. During the early afternoon we took a walk around the local village and each one of us were welcomed by many of the locals inlcuding a very kind shop keeper who was extremely interested in the work we are doing in the Jabula combined school and in the local community.
Late afternoon saw us visit the town of Howick, to buy gifts to take home, this was great and enabled us to see the town of Howick and its amazin 365 feet waterfall.
More to follow soon……
